American Royal Parade

One of the most watched parades in Kansas City is the American Royal Parade. On September 27th Megan and I were able to participate in this prestigous tradition!

Meet Mrs. Kansas America

I chatted with Mrs. Kansas and fell in love with her dress. So we took a little road trip to Emporia, KS and was able to try it on! It was beautiful, but I just wasn't ready to commit. Thanks again to my new friend, Kim!

Day of the Diva Appearance

What an amazing event! We were pampered, treated, and shown the latest fashions. Megan Knott and I were able to speak with many businesses and spread the word about the Mrs. America Organization.

We connected with the community and had a lot of fun in the process! I'm so glad to have met Megan this year!

Paws in the Park Appearance

On September 20th, 2008 Libby, Turk, and I were asked to volunteer for one of my favorite non-profit organizations. FOPAS once again packed the park in Parkville, MO and we were honored to be asked to speak and help lead the walk!

What a beautiful day!

I Do I Do Bridal- Road Trip

Back in September, Mom & I took a road trip to play in dresses at the I Do I Do Bridal. What fun to try on all of the latest pretty dresses!

Every time I get to try on these dresses I feel like a little girl dreaming of being a princess. Here are a few that we looked at. Even though I didn't pick a dress yet, we had a great time & I was able to spend some time with the AMAZING Ann Morrison. I met Ann last year in the pageant and she was instantly the sister I never had. It was a great way to kick off the year!

Updating Updating!

Well, a lot has happened this year!  So, I'll try to update you as much as possible on all of the amazing fun I've had as Mrs. Kansas City this year!

Paws in the Park

On September 20th, I was asked to help lead the Paws in the Park walk at the English Landing in Parkville, MO. This is a wonderful event that I love taking my puppies too! I had a wonderful time helping out!

Remembering Last Years Adventure

What an amazing year I had in 2007-08. Deciding to particpate in the pageant was one of the best decisions I've made. It was empowering and fullfilling in so many ways.
I was blessed to have met some many wonderful people and enjoy the city of Chillicothe, MO. Who would have thought that I could place so high on my first try. I was honored to be named 1st Runner Up for Mrs. Missouri.
Here's our Top 5 for 2008! Lovely, smart women that I'm so lucky I got to meet!
